Thirteen supermarkets including Yonghui Superstores and CBEST signed public commitment of food safety, making 9 promises including no sale of unqualified food and no food additives on May 13, 2011.

They are to launch convenience measures like setting sales zones and counters for near-expired food.

The principal of Chongqing Administration for Industry & Commerce said that these stores will get the severest punishment according to relevant laws and regulations if they breach the commitment and operate illegally.
